• information about fees and charges that may be payable by you to us;
• commissions that we may receive when we are acting as a credit representative;
• commissions that we may pay to third parties for the introduction of business; and
• information about what you should do if you have a complaint or dispute regarding our services and activities.
We are required to provide this document to you as soon as practicable after it becomes apparent that we are likely to provide credit assistance to you. We provide “credit assistance” when we:
1. Suggest or assist you in applying for:
a. a particular loan with a particular lender; or
b. an increase to an existing loan with a particular lender; or
2. Recommend that you remain in an existing loan contract.
Preliminary Assessment
Prior to providing credit assistance to you, we must assess whether the particular loan is “unsuitable”. A loan will be “unsuitable” based on the information you provide to us if:
1. You will be unable to repay the proposed loan or will only be able to repay the proposed loan with substantial hardship; or
2. The proposed loan does not meet your requirements and objectives.
We are required to document our findings that the proposed loan is not unsuitable by way of completing a Preliminary Assessment. The Preliminary Assessment will set out your:
• requirements and objectives;
• financial and relevant personal situation; and
• ability to repay the proposed loan.
We are also required to take reasonable steps to verify information provided by you to us.
This verification may include:
• requesting you for copies of documents that demonstrate your financial situation - in some cases we may also need to sight original documents, and
• contacting third parties to assist in verifying the information that you provide.
Obtaining a copy of the Preliminary Assessment

Your request is made: We will give you your assessment:
Before the Credit Day* As soon as possible after we receive your request
Up to 2 years after the Credit Day Within 7 business days after we receive your request
Between 2 to 7 years after the Credit Day Within 21 business days after we receive your request
*The Credit Day is the date the credit contract (i.e. the loan) is settled or the loan amount is increased.
There is no charge for requesting or receiving a copy of the Preliminary Assessment.
Fees and charges that are payable by you in relation to our credit assistance
We may charge a fee for providing credit assistance to you. If applicable, details about these fees payable by you will be set out in a Credit Quote which we will give you prior to submitting your loan application.
Other fees and charges
You may have to pay other fees and charges (such as application fees, valuation costs and other applicable fees) to the lender or other parties. You should review the particular loan contract documentation for further details of any such fees and charges.
How do I get paid?
Our aggregator receives commission from the lenders and then pays us commission in relation to loan contracts (such as home and investment property loans).
An upfront commission is payable by lenders in relation to settled (drawn-down) loans and is calculated as a percentage of the loan amount. It is usually paid after settlement of the loan.
Trail commission is payable by lenders in relation to settled (drawn-down) loans. It is calculated monthly on the outstanding loan balance and is paid in arrears.
The upfront and trail commissions that we are paid by lenders are not payable by you. Details of commission to be received will be included in the Summary of Requirements and Credit Proposal document that we will provide you with when credit assistance is provided.
From time to time, I may also receive a non-commission benefit by way of training, professional development, entertainment, gift, conference attendance, sponsorship, or entry into a competition run by a lender or my aggregator, at no extra cost to you. The nature of such arrangements are temporary, and the occurrence and amounts are often not readily ascertainable, however if they are apparent as a result of assisting you with credit assistance, this will be disclosed to you.

Our Associations and Relationships
All our credit representatives are accredited withZENRG Finance Pty Ltd - Australian Credit Licence: 471677. Below are the six lenders with whomZENRG Finance Pty Ltd conducts the most business with:
Westpac, NAB, CBA, Macquarie Bank, St George, Bankwest
Our Best Interests Duty (BID) Obligations to You
As of the 1st January 2021, the best interests duty (BID) was enshrined into law that requires mortgage brokers to act in the best interests of the consumer when providing credit assistance. BID was largely introduced to improve customer outcomes after recommendations from the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry were made relating to mortgage broking. The law requires us to:
• act in the best interests of the consumer when providing credit assistance;
• give priority to consumers where a conflict of interest is identified when providing credit assistance; and
• not accept conflicted remuneration.
These obligations have largely improved how:
• mortgage brokers gather and document information about a consumers’ individual circumstances, requirements & objectives;
• mortgage brokers educate the consumer to make informed decisions;
• mortgage brokers assess relevant products inline with the consumers needs; and
• those options & the recommendation are presented.

Our Responsible Lending Obligations to You
We are obliged to ensure that any loan, or principal increase to a loan, we help you to obtain, or any lease we help you enter, is not unsuitable for you. To decide this, we may need to ask you some questions in order to assess whether the loan or lease is not unsuitable. The law requires us to:
• make reasonable enquiries about your requirements and objectives;
• make reasonable enquiries about your financial situation; and
• take reasonable steps to verify that financial situation.
Credit will be unsuitable for you if, at the time of the assessment, it is likely that the following would apply at the time credit is provided:
• you could not pay or could only pay with substantial hardship; or
• the credit will not meet your requirements or objectives.
For example, if you can only repay by selling your principal place of residence, it is presumed that the loan will cause substantial hardship unless the contrary is proved. For this reason, we must ask you to provide a significant amount of information. It is important that the information you provide is accurate, complete and up to date.
We will provide you with a copy of our preliminary assessment of your application, if you ask within seven years of when we provided assistance to you. This requirement is only triggered if we give you credit assistance.
If we arrange a loan for you to purchase or refinance real estate, remember you must make your own enquiries about the value of the real estate and its potential for future growth. Although we may obtain a valuation, that is for our own use and you should not rely on it.

Our Fees and Charges
Generally, no fees or charges are payable by you to us for our credit assistance. In some instances, a fee for service may be required. Details of these fees will be set out in a Credit Quote.
However, you may be charged a lender’s application fee, valuation fees and other fees associated with the loan. These fees are not charged by us and will be disclosed to you prior to submission of the credit application. Please note, however, that if a valuation is conducted and you ultimately choose not to proceed with the loan, you may be liable for the valuation fees.

Commissions
We may receive commissions from the lenders and lessors who provide finance for you as our customers. These fees are not payable by you. You may obtain information relating to reasonable estimates of those commissions and how they are calculated.
When we provide you with credit assistance, you may ask us for a reasonable estimate of the commission likely to be received, directly or indirectly by ZENRG Finance Pty Ltd and its credit representatives.
From time to time, we may receive financial or non-financial benefits from ZENRG Finance Pty Ltd, lenders, lessors or others. Some or all of a commission received by ZENRG Finance Pty Ltd may be paid to our Credit Representatives.

Fees payable by you to third parties

When the loan application is submitted, you may need to pay the lender's application fee, valuation fees, or other fees that are associated with the loan application process, even if application for the loan is ultimately unsuccessful.

Fees payable by you to us or the Licensee

If a fee is payable by you, this will be disclosed in a Credit Quote that will be provided to you. If a Credit Quote is not supplied, this will indicate that we do not charge consumers any fees.

Payments received by us or the Licensee
We, and our Licensee or aggregator Australian Finance Group Ltd (AFG), may receive fees, commissions, or financial rewards from lenders or lessors in connection with any finance we arrange for you. These fees are not payable by you.

The commission / brokerage amount depends on the amount of the finance and may vary from product to product. We can provide you with information about a reasonable estimate of those commissions and how the commission is worked out if you require.

Commissions are paid based on a percentage of the loan balance that is drawn down which in most cases will be net of any amounts you hold in an offset account. The way commissions are calculated and paid to us by lenders may vary. By following the responsible lending requirements, we will ensure the loan recommended to you is not unsuitable for your situation and objectives.

Access to this program is not based solely on the volume of new or existing lending our clients have with each respective lender and does not entitle us to any additional commissions or payments outside of what we have disclosed to you, or any preferential client discounts.

Other disclosures, benefits or interests we or others may receive

We are prohibited from accepting gifts or inducements over $300. Any benefit given to your broker greater than $100 and less than $350 will be recorded in a Gifts Register. A copy of our register is available to inspect on request. If you wish to inspect the register, please contact us.
